This is a static response used for ingress controller load testing. The response body is padded to approximately 1 KB so that payload size is consistent across all test runs. The backend is nginx serving from memory with access logging disabled, ensuring near-zero CPU overhead. This lets us isolate and measure the performance characteristics of the ingress proxies (Envoy Gateway and Tailscale) and their Linkerd sidecars without the backend becoming a bottleneck.
